Unable to Open without a valid database

  1. Log into SSLIP.
  2. Go to Database Administration
  3. Click on SMS group
  4. Click Test Connection
  5. Make sure connection is successfull.
  6. If not, check physical file location and if Database is missing or in another directory, correct either the location of the Database or the SSLIP Data path.

Note: If the Server can open Cyrious, but not the client machines follow these steps

  1. Log into SSLIP.
  2. Go to Database Administration
  3. Click on SMS group
  4. Ensure all paths are set to the UNC path NOT the local path
  5. Click Test Connection
  6. Make sure connection is successfull.
  7. If not, check physical file location and if Database is missing or in another directory, correct either the location of the Database or the SSLIP Data path.
  1. Scan the Data folder (or Data3 if customer is running V2000 of the program) for all db files and mb files and adjoined indexes
  2. If one or more turns up missing, then try restoring from the most recent backup

**Alternatively:** You can copy all indexes (excluding DB, MB) from a backup and paste in the Data folder, **CLICK NO** so it only replaces the missing indexes

  1. Ensure the database files are residing in the data folder instead of a subfolder (i.e. “C:\Program Files\Cyrious\SMS\Data\Data\” and then you find all the files and indexes)
  2. Copy the files and paste them inside the the parent data folder

  1. If a FASTSIGNS store, ensure the Data folder contains the “Aa Data.txt” file
