Note: This must be done on all computers that have Cyrious

  1. Navigate in Cyrious to Mgmt, Set-Up, click on User Options.
  2. Click on the Email Options tab.
  3. Select Outlook from the Email delivery option: drop down list.
  4. Click on Save.
  5. You can now email from Cyrious into Outlook. When you attempt to email something from Cyrious a new Outlook message window will open with the customer's email address already inserted (if it was entered in Cyrious) along with any message and/or attachments that were specified.
  1. Your SMTP and POP3 information from your Email Provider. This is typically your internet provider or web hosting provider.
    • You can get this information by contacting your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
    • Ask the Technical Support of your email provider for the following information to help you setup your email.

### What is your Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) address?

### Does the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) require authentication? Yes or No.

### Does the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) require a username? If so, ask for your username.

### Does the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) require a password? If so, ask for your password.

### What port does the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) use? The default port is 25, however some providers use different ports.

### Does the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) require an SSL connection? Most do not require an encrypted SSL connection but some do such as Google Gmail.

### What is the Incoming Mail Server (POP3) address?

### What is the Incoming Mail Server (POP3) port? The default port is 110, however some providers use different ports.

  • Write down all the information they give you.

  1. Navigate in Cyrious to Mgmt, Set-Up, and click on User Options.
  2. Click on the Email Options tab.
  3. Select Internal from the Drop Down List for Email Delivery Option.
  4. Fill in the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): field with the SMTP address.
  5. Fill in the From Name: with your name or company name.
  6. Fill in the Email Address: with your email or the company's email address. This email address will be used as the reply to email address of any email you send from Cyrious.
  7. Fill in the User Name: with the username given to you.
  8. Fill in the Password: with the password given to you.
  9. If your email provider specified that you should use a different SMTP port than 25, please check the Different SMTP Port Required checkbox and enter the SMTP Port number they provided.
  10. Check the Authentication Required checkbox.
    • Click the Send Test Email button.
    • If you get a pop-up window advising Email Sent, click Save.
  11. If not, uncheck the Authentication Required checkbox.
    • Click the Send Test Email button.
    • If you get a pop-up window advising Email Sent, click Save.
  12. If not, check the Authentication Required checkbox.
    1. Check the Email server requires checking email before sending checkbox.
    2. Fill in the Incoming Mail Server (POP3): field with the POP3 address.
    3. If your email provider specified that you should use a different POP3 port than 110, please check the Different POP3 Port Required checkbox and enter the POP3 Port number they provided.
    4. Click the Send Test Email.
    5. If you get a pop-up window advising Email Sent, click Save.
  13. If not, please contact Cyrious Technical Support for assistance. Please advise during your call that you followed the instructions in this WIKI article and please have your email settings available for the technician to complete their tests. In some cases the Internal method of emailing may not be supported by your email provider, some providers have made certain security changes that do not allow non-verified applications to send email from their email servers. When this occurs the user may only have the option of utilizing Microsoft Outlook to send email from Cyrious.
  1. You can check the Copy me on all Emails by default checkbox to get a copy of every email you send.
  2. If you wish to include an Email signature you may include it by filling in the Email signature: field provided. This field only supports plain text and does not support images, custom fonts, images, etc.
