How do I connect my mac to a windows server so I can access programs such as Control?

In order for a location with all Macintosh systems to utilize the Cyrious Control software package, the following technical requirements must be met.

  1. The location must purchase and install a Microsoft Windows Server capable of supporting Terminal Services such as a Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 Server configured with Terminal Services.

  1. Each user that intends to access the Cyrious Software package must have a user account created on the Windows Server that has been configured within their network.

**Note:** Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2008 Small Business Edition and Web Edition do not support "Terminal Services". Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008 Standard, Enterprise, and Datacenter support Terminal Services.

  1. The location must purchase Microsoft Terminal Services Client Access Licenses for each user that will connect to the Windows Server. Additional Windows Client Access Licenses may be required, to ensure you are compliant with all Microsoft licensing Cyrious recommends contacting your preferred network/computer vendor.

  1. The location will need to install the Microsoft Windows Remote Desktop Connection client on each Macintosh system. This is a free download and is available for download on Microsoft's website at

  1. All systems that wish to access the Microsoft Windows Server must have an active network connection; wireless and wired networks are supported.
