Windows 7+ can be very restrictive towards applications written for the previous versions of Windows. This is the case with the Borland Database Engine (BDE), which has been resolved in SMS version 8.91

  1. Upgrade to 8.91 (Providing there are no current restrictions).
  1. Shut down Cyrious on the server
  2. Start up Cyrious on the clients
  3. Once all the client machines have Cyrious running, then you can open Cyrious on the server
  4. Explain to the customer it is a limitation that Window 7+ has trying to protect them from outside attacks called Sandbox. Microsoft updates will turn it on or off at its leisure. This is only a work around, and the only fix is to get upgraded to 8.91 (Providing there are no current restrictions).
