CKG Edit ====== ====== ===== Explanation ===== This is usually an issue with registry entries and sometimes with an actual lack of resources. Check the RAM usage in Performance Monitor first to verify that resources are available. ===== Resolution 1 ===== - Click Start - Click Run - Type in Regedit - Drill down to HKEY_Current_User - Drill down to Software - Drill down to Cyrious Software - Drill down to SMS - Delete the key FormPosition **Note:** If you are not comfortable in editing the computer's registry, please contact Cyrious Tech Support ===== Resolution 2 ===== - Click Start - Click Run - Type in Regedit - Drill down to HKEY_Current_User - Drill down to Software - Drill down to Cyrious Software - Drill down to SMS - Drill down to User Options - on the right hand search for ExplorerCustIndexes and ExplorerOrdIndexes - Right click on each of them and delete **Note:** If you are not comfortable in editing the computer's registry, please contact Cyrious Tech Support ===== Resolution 3 (rare, SMS only) ===== Recently an **SMS** customer was receiving "Out of System Resources" constantly from the time the software loaded. She had used Windows 7's "Show Windows Side By Side" option //(accessed by right clicking the taskbar and selecting it from the menu, OR by dragging a window to the left or right edge of the screen)// to scale the SMS window to exactly half of the screen. To test, I held the mouse cursor over the SMS window's 'Maximize' button and used the spacebar to clear the 'Out of System Resources' error. In the split-second before the error popped back up, I clicked the Maximize button, and the SMS window maximized while the error popped up again. After clearing the error this time, it did not occur again. Closed SMS and re-opened and got no error. Opened a few orders, edited and saved, no errors. Through further testing the error did not occur again. My conclusion is that something about the window re-sizing caused the error. ===== Resolution 4 ===== - Open the Control Panel. - Search for "Appearance" - Choose "Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows" - On the Visual Effects tab, verify that: - "Show window contents while dragging" is **unchecked** - "Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing" is **unchecked** - Verify the error does not appear when re-sizing the window from it's smallest possible width to it's largest possible width.
