===== This is the step by step process to install Cyrious SMS 2000 on the server. =====



==== Procedure/Walk-Through ====



====Creating the Cyrious folder==== 
  - Click on Start > My Computer
  - Double click on the: C Drive
  - Click on File > New Folder
  - Rename the folder to Cyrious



====Sharing the Cyrious Folder==== 
  - Right-click on the folder, click on Sharing & Security
  - Click on the text "If you understand the security risks..."
    * Note, you may not see steps 2 or 3 if you have already enabled sharing. Proceed to step 4
  - Click the radio button for "just enable file sharing" and press OK.
  - Put a checkbox in "Share this folder on the network".
    * The share name should be set to Cyrious
  - Put a checkbox in "Allow network users to change my files.."



====Creating the virtual P drive (WinXP/Win2k)==== 
  - Open the registry editor (Start > Run > Type in regedit)
  - Click the + next to HKLM > + next Software > + next to Microsoft
  - Click the + next to Windows > + next to Current Version > click on Run
  - Right-click in the right-window pane, click on New > String Value
  - Name the new value " subst cyrious "
  - Double-click the newly created "subst cyrious" string value
  - Inside the Value Data field, type in subst p: c:\cyrious
  - Close the Registry Editor



====Creating the virtual Drive (Win98/Me)==== 
  - Double click on My Computer
  - Double click on the C: Drive
  - Right-click on autoexec.bat , click on edit
  - On the 1st or 2nd line of the autoexec.bat file, type in the following: subst p: c:\cyrious
  - Click on File > Save
  - Click on File > Exit



====Creating the virtual P drive without restarting==== 
  - Click on Start > Run
  - Type in CMD (win2k/winXP) or Command (Win98/ME)
  - At the command prompt, type in the following: **subst p: c:\cyrious** and press ENTER



====Verifying the P Drive was created==== 
  - Click on Start > My Computer
  - Do you see a P: Drive listed? If no, try restarting.



====Installing Cyrious v2000==== 
  - Open the uncompressed folder containing the installation files for v2000
  - Double-Click on Autorun.exe
  - When the load menu appears, click on Install SMS-Pro
  - Once the initial installation dialog appears, Click Next
  - Input your desired User Name and Company Name, Click Next
  - Select POS - Point of Sale System, Click Next
  - Select the appropriate franchise (Independent/FastSigns/Signwave), Click Next.
  - Select the appropriate region type (Standard US, Canada), click Next
  - Select Network Server, Click Next
  - Verify the destination path is correct. It should read P:\Pos
  - Click Next on the international translation tables screen.
  - Click Next on the select program folder screen.
  - Click Next to start copying files (installing).
  - Select NO when prompted to restart the computer, click Finish.



====Installing the HASP Security Key Drivers.==== 
  - Download the Security Key drivers from www.cyrioussoftware.com
  * Move the mouse over the link "Tech Support", click on "Downloads".
  * Scroll to the bottom of the page, click on HASP Security Key Drivers.
  * Once the page loads, download the first file in the listing. hdd32.zip
  - Once the download is complete, double-click the hdd32.exe file to begin the installation process of the drivers.
  - Click Next when the HASP Device Driver Installation dialog box appears.
  - The extraction process begins, click Next on the Installation Status dialog box.
  - The box will disappear for a moment, click Finish when the dialog box reappears.



====Verifying the Installation of v2000 completed successfully.==== 
  - Double-Click the Cyrious 2000 icon on your desktop
  - During the loading process, the Cyrious Shop Management System Help screen will appear. Click X to close it.
  - Cyrious will continue to load. Verify the program loads without complications.
  - If Cyrious loaded without problems, click the X to close it.
