Explanation

This is caused by the use of special characters in certain fields

Resolution
  1. Open SMS
  2. Navigate to where the customer gets the error
  3. Edit the record (may be a customer, or order, or estimate, or contact record)
  4. Look for a special character like “ ' $ % in an inappropriate field (i.e. “The Boss” in the title field for a contact)
