This is caused by Cyrious trying to call to another application, executable or dll. Depending on where in the opening process the error message pops-up.

If this error occurs at start-up, it could be while the Home Page is being created. We have seen this when creating the “Tips” section if Internet Explorer is not installed or working properly. The “Tips” section actually uses IE to render the results, and this message indicates it was not able to do so.

To resolve it:

1. Click ok on the error message - SMS should open, if it does continue. If not continue trouble shooting and edit this WIKI article
2. Drill down Mgmt>Set-Up>User Options
3. Click the System Options tab
4. Uncheck the “Show Tips on the Home Page”, and “Show Web Update Announcement Screen” checkboxes
5. Save changes
6. Shut down and restart SMS
