You can not do a database rebuild with out the UDP(UtilityDataPath) being set up properly. ===== Possible Root Cause(s) ===== * New Install ===== Resolution ===== - Open the Registry Editor: - Click **Start** and then **Run**. <html><div style="margin-left: 40px;"> **Note:** On Windows Vista and Windows 7, click on the Windows Orb then type the command below in the Search box. </div></html> - Type **RegEdit** and press **Enter** - Expand the **HKEY_CURRENT_USER** registry key. - Expand the **Software** registry key. - Expand the **Cyrious Software** registry key. - Click on the **SMS** registry key**.** - Right-click on the **SMS** registry key and choose **New > String Value** - Set the name of the new string value to **UtilityDataPath** - Double-click the **UtilityDataPath** string value you created to edit the properties of that string value. - Under the **Value data:** field type in **C:\Program Files\Cyrious\SMS\Data\** then click OK to save your changes. - You can now re-open the **DBRebuild.exe** utility. ===== Version Information ===== * Reported : 8/2009 * Version(s): SMS 8.6, 8.9 * Fixed in : 8/2009
