Unable to Open MS Outlook : (Server execution failed, ProgID: “Outlook.Application”)

Low. User is able to continue working in the software.

User Account Control (UAC) is blocking the software from trying to use MS Outlook.

  1. Run Outlook as an Administrator (You must shift-right-click on the shortcut and choose to Run As Administrator. Just running it as the administrator won't work.)
  2. Click on File | Options
  3. Choose Trust Center. This will open a new window.
  4. Choose Programmatic Access.
  5. Change the setting to “Never Warn me …” . If the options are disabled, then you aren't running it in Administrator mode.
  6. Save.

- Go to Start \ Control Panel \ User Accounts and Family Safety\User Accounts

- Click on Change User Account Control (UAC) settings.

- Move the slider bar all the way to the bottom (Never notify).

- Click OK. You will be prompted to re-boot the PC and you will need to do so in order for the change to UAC to take effect.

- Run Cyrious as an administrator.

- If these resolutions do not resolve the issue, re-installing MS Outlook is suggested.
