Cyrious Won't Open

Cyrious won't open when you double click on the Icon.

  • This is caused by Cyrious not closing properly on the computer
  1. Open the Task Manager (Can either Hit Ctrl-Alt-Delete, or left click on the Task Bar)
  2. Select the Processes tab
  3. Scroll down to locate the SMS.exe
  4. Highlight SMS.exe
  5. Click the End Process button
  6. Select the Yes button in the pop-up
  7. Double click on the Cyrious icon - should start with out any issue

  • If the above is not the resoluction, do the following
  1. Navigate to the SSLIP folder
  2. Open the SSLIP error log
  3. Look for the following error:

Error in TIPRoadTraveller.Open: connect: WSocketResolveHost: Cannot convert host address

  1. If you find this message, you may have to reboot the computer
  2. Open up Cyrious
  3. Navigate to Mgmt>Set-Up>User Options>Backups
  4. Copy the backup path
  5. Go to Run and paste there and open
  6. Navigate up to the root drive and see if there is any free space available for backups - they will probably have to remove some of the backups and this will resolve this issue till the next time they run out of free space on that drive

  • If the above is not the resoluction, do the following
  1. Navigate to the SMS folder
  2. Copy the SMS.exe
  3. Paste the SMS.exe in the SMS folder
  4. Rename to CyriousSMS.exe
  5. Create a new shortcut to CyriousSMS.exe on the desktop of the client and test
